How this site benefits you and your community: “Ned Houk Park has so many uses that benefit the residents of Clovis and visitors to our area. We have opportunities for picnic and event rentals, weddings, the band stage where concerts are held, the disc golf course that can host tournaments, the Motor Speedway, and so much more. All of this generates revenues for the city of Clovis. Because of the Land and Water Conservation Fund, there are many groups, like 4-H, Senior Olympics, 5K enthusiasts, the Model Airplane Driver Society, archers, and much more, that have the opportunity to enjoy this beautiful space and all it has to offer.

We have a great, small lake that is stocked with catfish during the summer and trout during the winter and provides great fishing all year long. At 3100 acres, Ned Houk Park is an exceptional recreational space for our military, our residents, and people visiting the great city of Clovis. It’s a hidden jewel that started out as a means of controlling the watershed for Plainview, Texas in the 1950’s, and since it has become a park, has provided so many opportunities for events and activities for our community and visitors.”
